The Educational Theatre Association offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year that require the assistance of volunteer adjudicators. We need hundreds of adjudicators each year in order to help us continue to recognize and support our members and the future of the theatre education field.

We are grateful that you are willing to lend us your time and expertise. Please fill out the application below so we know more about your experience level, preferences, and availiability. Adjudicators must be adults, over 18 years old. Previous adjudication experience is a bonus, but is not required. We will reach out to you by email as opportunities that match your interests become available.

Adjudicator Application

NOTE: All International Thespian Excellence Award (Thespys) adjudicators will be required to complete a free course on Theatre Educator Pro to help us standardize the feedback students receive on their Thespy submissions. If you are applying to serve as a Thespy adjudicator, you are welcome to complete the course now, or any time prior to the beginning of your adjudication session. 

Per the Thespy Program Guide, Troupe directors and chaperones may be required to volunteer as adjudicators at the international level if more than four of their students are participating in the Thespy program.
